Petite Knock Out
Red · repeat-blooming · Zones 5-11
Miniature roses scale everything down — flowers, leaves, and habit — into perfectly proportioned plants for containers, edging, and small gardens.
Miniatures are true roses bred to stay small, typically six to twenty-four inches tall, with flowers and foliage reduced to match. Most repeat-bloom freely and, despite their size, are as winter-hardy as many full-size roses.
Their scale makes them ideal for pots and window boxes, for edging beds and paths, and for gardeners with limited space who still want the full rose experience.
Give them full sun and free-draining soil or a quality container mix. Feed lightly but regularly, deadhead to prolong bloom, and prune in late winter simply by trimming to shape and removing twiggy growth.
The 24 roses below are among the most widely grown and dependable in this group. Each profile covers color, fragrance, size, hardiness, and how to grow it well.
