How Tall Do Knock Out Roses Get

Most Knock Out roses grow three to four feet tall and wide, though they can reach five feet if left unpruned. The Petite Knock Out stays under 18 inches.

The standard Knock Out and Double Knock Out roses typically settle at three to four feet in both height and width, forming a rounded shrub. Without their annual hard prune they can climb toward five feet over a season.

Size varies a little by type and climate: the Petite Knock Out is a true miniature under eighteen inches, ideal for containers and edging. An annual late-winter cut back by a third keeps any of them to the size you want.
